Staff at Isleworth & Syon School were filled with pride as they celebrated the success of their Year 13 students. The standout performer was Mikaeel Shah, who achieved an outstanding four A* grades, including in Maths and Further Maths, securing his spot at Trinity College, Cambridge to study Mathematics. Mikaeel’s exceptional achievement comes as no surprise, considering he represented the UK at the International Maths Olympiad earlier this year.

Another high achiever in the cohort is James Skinner, who received three A*s and one A, demonstrating his strong aptitude for Maths and Physics. James, who served as one of this year’s deputy head students, has been a source of inspiration for his peers.

Joe Gilmour, another deputy head student, impressed with his A* and two A grades, earning him a place at the University of Manchester to pursue his passion for Philosophy, Politics, and Economics, with the goal of one day becoming an MP. Similarly, Will Hemmings is set on a similar path, embarking on a History and Politics degree at the University of York to support his aspirations.

Dalbir Gill’s two A*s in Maths and Physics have paved the way for his future in engineering, as he prepares to pursue an engineering degree at the University of Manchester, with hopes of a career in aerospace engineering.

Anya Brucal, the school’s first-ever female co-head student, showcased her dedication by earning two A’s, a B, and a C. She will be studying Material Science and Engineering at Imperial College London, following her passion for the field.

Ruby Balfe’s success took a slightly different path, as she excelled in her CTEC sport double award with a double Distinction*. Her commitment and hard work have paid off, setting her on a promising trajectory in the sports industry.
