St Augustine’s Priory in Ealing had a lot to celebrate this year as their students surpassed expectations with their A-level results. The head teacher, Christine Macallister, proudly announced that 26% of all grades were A* and an impressive 59% were A* to A. Furthermore, a whopping 82% of grades were A* to B, with 97% achieving A* to C grades.

These outstanding results have opened up doors for the students to attend top universities such as University College London, Exeter, and Leeds. The girls will be pursuing a diverse range of subjects including Computer Science, Drama, Law, and Journalism. What’s even more impressive is that over 90% of the students got into their first-choice university, a testament to their hard work and dedication.

Christine Macallister emphasised the school’s mission statement of ‘Our Girls will Change the World’, highlighting the achievements of the Year 13 leavers as examples of young women who fully embrace the opportunities that education provides. Special recognition was given to Julia Szewczyk, Megan Ransome, and former head girl Marija Vincic for their exceptional A*/A grades.

Marija Vincic, who will be starting a Language and Culture degree at UCL, praised St Augustine’s for its close-knit community where the staff truly get to know each student. It was heartwarming to see Marija’s older sister, a former St Augustine’s pupil, joining in on the celebrations as she recently graduated with a First-Class Honours degree in English Literature from St Mary’s University.

The success of the students at St Augustine’s Priory is a testament to the school’s commitment to providing a supportive and nurturing environment where young women can thrive academically and personally. As these bright minds embark on their university journey, there is no doubt that they will continue to make a positive impact on the world around them.
