A man and four teenagers have been convicted of murdering two boys in Bristol in a case of mistaken identity. Mason Rist, 15, and Max Dixon, 16, were tragically stabbed to death after being chased by the group of teenagers on January 27th. The attackers, led by Antony Snook, 45, had wrongly identified the boys as being responsible for an incident earlier that evening.

The victims, Mason and Max, were simply out for a pizza when they were ruthlessly attacked in their own community. The attack, caught on CCTV, lasted only 33 seconds as the teenagers jumped out of the car armed with weapons, pursued the boys, and then fled the scene. Mason and Max suffered fatal stab wounds and passed away in the hospital shortly after.

Detective Superintendent Gary Haskins expressed his condolences, describing the boys as innocent victims who were senselessly attacked for no reason. The families of Mason and Max shared heartbreaking statements, expressing their deep loss and the pain of moving forward without their loved ones.

The attackers will face sentencing in the coming months, with Antony Snook scheduled for sentencing on November 19th, and Riley Tolliver along with the three teenagers on December 16th. The entire community is left mourning the loss of two young lives due to a tragic case of mistaken identity.
