Sean Bilton and his partner Charlotte decided to add a furry friend to their family two years ago. They visited Dogs Trust Harefield and instantly connected with Mishka, a crossbreed who had been rescued from the streets and cared for by the shelter.
Moved by Mishka’s story and grateful for the love and care she received at Dogs Trust, Sean decided to give back. Together with Mishka, he embarked on a challenge to walk 200 miles in November to raise funds for the shelter and support other dogs in need.
Throughout the month, Sean and Mishka will be exploring the green spaces of Harefield and beyond, braving the elements and clocking in more miles than their usual walks. Despite the tiredness, rain, and mud, Sean is determined to complete the challenge with his loyal companion by his side.
Richard Moore, the rehoming centre manager at Harefield, expressed his delight in hearing about Mishka’s happy ending with Sean and Charlotte. It is heartwarming to see a former resident thriving in a loving forever home.
If you wish to show your support for Sean and Mishka’s cause, you can visit their fundraising page at www.justgiving.com/page/miles-with-mishka and make a donation to help Dogs Trust continue their vital work in rescuing and caring for dogs in need. Your contribution, no matter how small, can make a difference in the lives of animals waiting for their second chance.
