Samsung is working on a new update called One UI 7 for its Galaxy devices. The leaked screenshots shared by @chunvn8888 with Smartprix reveal some significant changes to the design of the Android skin used by Samsung.
One noticeable change is the separation of the notification panel from the quick settings in One UI 7. This means users may no longer have to swipe down twice to access notifications and quick settings. Additionally, the icons for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth now have a more rounded appearance compared to the previous version, One UI 6.
The overall design of One UI 7 seems to have a rounder aesthetic, with elements such as notification bubbles and the main settings menu sporting a similar look. A video obtained by Smartprix shows a new notification pop-out feature for system apps like the timer, which resembles the animations seen on the iPhone’s Dynamic Island.
One interesting feature highlighted in the screenshots is the “continuity notifications” that allow users to send video call notifications to other Galaxy devices and continue the call from there. This feature seems to be in line with Google and Apple’s efforts to enable seamless cross-device communication.
While these leaked images provide a glimpse of what to expect from One UI 7, it’s important to note that the final version may still undergo changes before its official release. Rumors suggest that the beta version of One UI 7 could be available as early as next week, giving users a chance to experience the new update before its full rollout.
