On August 9th, car enthusiasts in Niagara-on-the-Lake are in for a treat as a variety of rare luxury and high-performance vehicles are set to take over Queen Street starting at 1:00 p.m. The event will showcase classic and contemporary models, professional race cars, a historic tractor, and a luxurious electric vehicle.

Organized by Alana Hurov, Queen Street will be divided into three sections, each sponsored by different automotive groups. One section will feature McLarens sponsored by Pfaff Auto Group, Pfaff Motorsports, and McLaren Toronto. In addition to McLarens, visitors can expect to see two professional race cars – the Porsche GT3 RS and the McLaren 720S GT3 Evo, driven by Canadian race car driver James Hinchcliffe.

As DJ Dave Stiles provides the soundtrack, visitors will have the opportunity to take photos with the McLaren 720S GT3 Evo and the Porsche GT3 RS on the Victory Lane Orange Carpet and the Revel Red Carpet, respectively. The Policaro Group will oversee a block featuring a 1958 Porsche tractor and other classic Porsche models, with the help of Porsche True North members.

Vendors at the event will offer treats like orange gelato and jams, adding to the festive atmosphere. The final block will showcase locally-owned supercars and a luxury electric vehicle from Lucid Motors. Martin Paquet, sales leader at Lucid Motors, will be showcasing the Lucid Air, emphasizing its long-range, efficiency, luxury features, and impressive 1,000 horsepower.

Visitors will have the chance to experience the interior and technology of the Lucid Air firsthand. Hurov is excited to showcase this lineup of vehicles, including Jaguars, classic luxury cars, and potentially more locally-owned vintage cars. The event will also feature vendors offering car-themed puzzles, promoting children’s literacy, and showcasing the latest kids’ electric vehicles.

Representatives from Cassie and Friends, a charity supporting children and families with juvenile arthritis, will also be present. Volunteers for the event are still needed, and more information can be found on the Niagara 5000 website. Hurov promises that the event will be a spectacle with millions of dollars worth of race cars and supercars on display, making it a must-see for car enthusiasts of all kinds.
