Sony has announced that the free PS4 and PS5 games for August 2024 will be revealed on July 31, with the games becoming available for download on August 6 until September 3. Fans have been speculating about what games might be included in the lineup, with many predicting that Resident Evil Village will be one of them. This game, which was released in 2021, has been highly anticipated by fans and would be a great addition to the PS Plus collection.
In addition to Resident Evil Village, other games that fans are hoping to see in the August lineup include Hi-Fi Rush, Viewfinder, and possibly Suicide Squad. Hi-Fi Rush is a rhythm action game developed by Tango Gameworks, while Viewfinder is a first-person puzzle game with a unique gameplay mechanic involving a special camera. Suicide Squad, despite being a newer release, could benefit from being included in the lineup to attract more players to the game.
There are also speculations about other potential games that could be included in the August lineup, such as Sonic Frontiers, Little Nightmares 2, Hades, High on Life, Deathloop, Tiny Tina’s Wonderland, Dead Space, Like a Dragon Ishin, Hot Wheels Unleashed 2, Dying Light 2, Stray, Dead Island 2, Call of Duty Vanguard, and Forspoken. Some fans have even suggested the possibility of God of War Ragnarok and Hogwarts Legacy being included, although this would be quite surprising.
As a reminder, the current batch of PS Plus Essentials includes NHL 24, Borderlands 3, and Among Us. These games have been well-received by players and have provided hours of entertainment. Fans are eagerly anticipating the announcement of the August lineup and are hoping for some exciting new additions to the collection. Be sure to check back on July 31 for the official reveal of the free games for August 2024.
