Detectives are currently on the lookout for a man carrying a crossbow in connection to a recent incident in Tower Hamlets. The victim, who was walking down Alfred Street, was threatened by the suspect in broad daylight on October 21. The suspect, dressed in all black, became aggressive, shouted at the victim, and brandished a crossbow before fleeing the scene.

Authorities are considering whether this incident is linked to two random crossbow attacks that occurred earlier in the year in Shoreditch, just two miles away. In March, residents of a quiet square in East London were left fearful after a 44-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man were injured in separate crossbow attacks only 10 days apart. The woman, identified as Nazarine Cazley, was shot in the head while returning home from work, and the man was shot in the neck while sitting on a bench near Arnold Circus.

Neighbors in the area expressed their concerns about safety, with many avoiding windows and rushing through the square to protect themselves and their children. Subera Rabby, a mother-of-two, recalled rushing to help Nazarine after hearing her scream for help. She highlighted the lack of communication from the police during the investigation, causing fear and confusion among residents.

In response to the recent incident in Tower Hamlets, DI Nikki Hardy released CCTV images of the suspect and urged the public to come forward with any information. The victim in this case was unharmed but understandably shaken by the experience. Anyone who recognizes the man in the photo or knows his whereabouts is encouraged to contact the authorities or provide anonymous tips to Crimestoppers.

The safety and security of the community are of utmost importance, and cooperation from the public is crucial in solving these cases and preventing further harm. If you have any information related to these incidents, do not hesitate to reach out to the authorities. Stay vigilant and look out for one another to ensure a safe environment for everyone.
