DJ and producer Kaytranada put on a dazzling light show at All Points East in Victoria Park, leaving the crowd in awe. The Canadian musician closed the festival with an energetic set, playing hits from his previous album as well as new releases.
Fans eagerly gathered at the main stage long before Kaytranada’s performance, eager to catch a glimpse of the producer known for his feel-good hip hop and R&B mixes. As a dedicated fan myself, I arrived an hour early to secure a good spot and found a group of like-minded individuals who had been there even earlier, watching a football match on a big screen.
Once Kaytranada took the stage, the audience was treated to stunning visuals and impressive dance moves. The light show added to the electrifying atmosphere as the musician delivered his most energetic tracks, including fan-favourite songs like “You’re the One” and “Glowed Up”.
Despite the initial excitement, the tempo of the set started to dip towards the middle, with some audience members losing their enthusiasm. While Kaytranada’s performance was undeniably captivating, it lacked the build-up and climax that other headliners had delivered in the past.
Overall, the day at All Points East was a success, with Kaytranada’s set standing out as a highlight. The mesmerising light display and energetic performance left the crowd satisfied, even if it didn’t build up to a dramatic conclusion like some had hoped. Nonetheless, it was a wonderful day in east London, filled with great music and good vibes.
