Hillingdon’s three leisure centres are gearing up for an exciting range of half-term activities from October 28 to November 3. These activities are made possible through a partnership between the council and GLL, a charitable social enterprise operating under the ‘Better’ brand.
At Hillingdon Sports and Leisure Complex in Uxbridge, there will be Extra Fun and Floats pool sessions on Tuesday and Thursday from 1-3.30 in the main pool. Toddlers can enjoy the Extra Toddlers World Soft Play in the sports hall on Tuesday from 10am-1pm, and Junior Gym sessions will be available Monday to Friday from 10am-5.30pm.
Over at Highgrove Pool and Fitness Centre in South Ruislip, families can look forward to Extra Family Fun/Floats Swimming in the teaching pool from Monday to Friday, 1-3pm. Swim For All sessions will take place in the main pool on Monday from 12-3.30pm, and Tuesday to Friday from 1-3.30pm. Additionally, Junior Gym sessions will be running from Monday to Friday, 13:00-18:00.
In Hayes, Botwell Green Sports and Leisure Centre will offer Extra Junior Gym sessions from Monday to Friday, 1-5pm. Families can also enjoy Extra Family Fun sessions on Monday, Thursday, and Friday from 10am-12:50pm, and on Tuesday from 11.50am-12:50pm.
For those interested in attending these activities, the off-peak prices are as follows: Adult residents pay £4.30, adult non-residents pay £4.80, child residents pay £2.70, and child non-residents pay £2.70.
Keely Shelton, Better’s Hillingdon Partnership Manager, expressed excitement about the upcoming half-term activities, stating: “Whatever residents need to keep active this half term and banish boredom, we’ve got it covered.”
