Guilty Gear Strive, a popular fighting game developed by Arc System Works, is introducing a new 3v3 tag team mode called “Team of 3.” This exciting new mode is currently in development and fans will have the opportunity to try it out during a long weekend beta test starting on Thursday evening at 7 p.m. PDT.
The beta test will run from Thursday, July 25 through Monday, July 29 and will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Games Pass, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam. Players do not need a subscription service like Xbox Live or PlayStation Plus to participate in online play during the beta.
In Team of 3 mode, players will form a team of three characters who share a single health bar. The main character will play as usual, while the other two characters can provide support using eight different assist skills. These skills have various capabilities including offense, defense, interference, and support.
Players will also have access to powerful special moves called “break in” maneuvers that are unique to each character. The tag mechanic allows players to switch between characters during the match, with each character only able to be the main fighter once per round.
To participate in the beta, players can download the separate application from the main Guilty Gear Strive game. More information about the beta can be found on the Team of 3 page on the Guilty Gear website. Additionally, fans can check out the Season 4 DLC trailer to get a glimpse of the new Team of 3 mode and the introduction of a guest character from Cyberpunk Edgerunners.
