A somber period of four days in London has seen three separate incidents of stabbings, resulting in one fatality. These incidents took place in Bromley, Maida Vale, and Isle of Dogs between August 2 and 5, as reported by Newsquest London.
In Bromley, a 19-year-old man was stabbed on Bromley High Street just before 4.20pm on August 3. Emergency services including officers, London Ambulance Service crews, and an air ambulance responded to the scene. The injured man was found on Harmony Way and was taken to the hospital for treatment. Fortunately, his condition was deemed not life-threatening, and police investigations are ongoing with no arrests made yet.
Tragically, a 23-year-old man named Abdul Jalloh lost his life after being stabbed in Isle of Dogs. The incident occurred on New Union Close at 4.15pm on August 5. Despite efforts to save him, Jalloh was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have informed his next of kin and are providing support. A male suspect has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and is currently in custody. Acting Chief Superintendent Brigid Beehag-Fisher expressed condolences to the victim’s family and urged any witnesses to come forward to aid the investigation.
Furthermore, in Maida Vale, a man in his 20s was stabbed on Elgin Avenue at 6.20pm on August 5. Responding officers and paramedics found the injured man and took him to the hospital, where his condition was assessed as non-life threatening. No arrests have been made in connection with this incident.
