Dogs Trust Harefield is appealing to the community to open their hearts and homes to some of their longest-residing furry friends.
At Dogs Trust, dogs that have been at the rehoming centre for over 100 days are considered underdogs. These dogs may need extra training, ongoing medical care, or a specific type of home environment.
The Harefield site is currently highlighting four underdogs who have not received much interest from potential adopters this year.
Ares, an eight-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross, has been at Harefield for over two years. He is looking for a patient family to help build his confidence and provide a calm environment.
Enzo, a young American Bulldog Cross, has been at the centre for 478 days. He is nervous around other dogs but gets along well with small animals.
Pablo, an older Retriever Labrador cross, enjoys outdoor adventures and lots of attention. He would be a great companion for a family with older children.
Patch, a greyhound, has been at Harefield for 545 days and is looking for patient owners with no children or pets. She is intelligent and loves mental stimulation.
Richard Moore, the centre manager, emphasises that the team is ready to provide support with resources, training advice, and medical care to ensure a smooth transition for these dogs into their new homes.
