Believe it or not, it has been five years since Fire Emblem: Three Houses was released on the Switch. Many SRPG fans have likely played both Three Houses and its successor, Fire Emblem Engage, which is over a year old now.
The two games, despite being in the same series, are quite different. Three Houses took a bold new direction by focusing on social simulation elements along with tactical battles. On the other hand, Engage went back to the series’ roots with a stronger emphasis on combat and bringing back the iconic Weapon Triangle.
Both games received a 9/10 rating in Nintendo Life reviews, making it hard to definitively say which one is better. The question then becomes, which one do you prefer? Did you enjoy the narrative and drama of Three Houses, or did the intense battles in Engage capture your attention more?
Let us know your preference by participating in the poll and share your thoughts in the comments. It’s interesting to see how players have different preferences when it comes to these two unique games.
