The Marshall Amplification Group is gearing up to introduce its latest record debut at the upcoming Ealing Blues Festival. The record, titled Living The Blues, will be previewed by Terry Marshall and Friends, a group of renowned British blues musicians.
Among the talented artists joining Terry Marshall are Robert Hokum, the festival’s founder, as well as Robin Bibi, Hugh Budden, Geoff Garbow, Emma Wilson, and Zoe Schwartz. Terry Marshall expressed his excitement about the project, highlighting the collaborative and spontaneous nature of the recording process.
Robert Hokum emphasized the significance of launching the new record at the Ealing Blues Festival, considering the historical connection between Marshall and the festival’s roots. The festival holds a special place in Marshall’s history, dating back to the debut of the iconic Marshall JTM45 guitar amplifier in the 1960s.
Marshall’s journey from a local musical instrument shop to a global business with a substantial annual turnover showcases its evolution over the years. The company’s innovative spirit, epitomized by the development of the first guitar amplifier for Pete Townshend of The Who, continues to drive its success in the industry.
Fans can look forward to Terry Marshall and Friends’ live performance of tracks from Living The Blues at the festival’s main stage. Additionally, Sons of Cream, featuring Malcolm Bruce and Kofi Baker, will take the stage later in the evening, paying tribute to their blues-playing fathers, Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker.
Living The Blues will be available as a limited edition double LP set, CD, and digital release through Marshall Records starting on October 11. Music enthusiasts can pre-order the record on the official website to secure their copy of this highly-anticipated blues compilation.
