Google has recently announced updates for Android foldables and tablets that aim to enhance the experience of using Gmail and Chat. The updates include a new formatting bar in Gmail that allows users to change fonts and create lists, as well as the implementation of Smart Compose for quicker email composition.

In addition to these changes, Google is also improving the multitasking experience in Android 15 for its upcoming Fold device. This trend of refining features ahead of major launches is not new for the company, as seen in their past hardware events.

The update for Workspace apps will first roll out for Gmail, with enhancements like a shortcut menu for users with external keyboards. This menu will provide shortcuts for composing emails and replying to messages, making the overall experience more efficient.

All Workspace customers, individual subscribers, and personal account holders will receive these updates, starting from July 26 onwards. The timing of these improvements is significant, especially with rumors of better multitasking features in Android 15 and the potential resolution change for the upcoming Pixel 9 Pro Fold.

Google’s commitment to enhancing the user experience on foldables and tablets is evident in these updates, as they continue to innovate and refine their products. Stay tuned for more updates and enhancements as Google prepares for its next hardware event on August 13.
