Jack Verity, a 73-year-old self-taught artist, will be showcasing his work at Stockley Park in his first-ever solo exhibition. Jack, who previously worked as an engineer installing traffic lights, decided to pursue art to bring beauty into what he described as a bleak world.

Despite juggling his job with his passion for art, Jack has participated in 10 group shows over the years. He creates one-of-a-kind pieces and prefers not to have prints of his work, although he is open to having them reproduced in magazines for a wider audience to enjoy.

After retiring three years ago, Jack fully embraced his role as a professional artist and shows no signs of slowing down. His upcoming exhibition, titled Vortex, will be held at the Glass Pencil Gallery, hosted by the West London Society of Art at Stockley Park from October 18-20, between 11am-5pm.

The West London Society of Art, a non-profit organisation, collaborates with Hypha Studios to manage 22 free studios at Stockley Park. Their mission is to provide local artists with the space and resources needed to create new and innovative artwork.
