Hello, and welcome to the latest edition of the Giant Bomb Community Spotlight! I’m here to bring you all the updates and highlights from the past week on the site. Let’s dive in.
First off, there have been some technical issues with the Lifetime Premium subscriptions. If you recently upgraded to the Lifetime version and don’t see it reflected in your account, reach out to support@giantbomb.com or ping @dtoast on Discord for assistance. Similarly, if your Premium Subscription shows an expiration date of 2099 or 2199, you’re all set. But if you’re missing access to the Premium section on Discord, contact the mods for help.
For those experiencing problems with the premium podcast feeds, especially the Bombcast feed, a re-download should fix any issues caused by a recent reposting of an episode. Shawn has been working to address these concerns, so keep an eye out for improvements.
In other news, the 16th-anniversary videos are now available on the website. You can find them in the “GB16 – Favorite Moments” carousel on the front page. Additionally, the Giant Bomb YouTube page has been updated to make it easier to find past livestreams and VODs. Shawn will also be at EVO 2024, so if you’re there, challenge him to a game of Tekken 8!
If you’re attending San Diego Comic Con, don’t miss the Fandom x GameSpot x Giant Bomb panel on July 25th. The panel will feature discussions on “What Video Game Should Become the Next Hit TV Show?” with special guests.
Moving on to community activities, the Game Pass Game Club is currently playing “The Case of the Golden Idol.” Share your thoughts on the puzzle design and mystery in the game. And for classical music lovers, the Album of the Week Club is listening to Symphony of Sorrowful Songs by Henryk Górecki.
