Sufian Choudry was convicted of the murder of Krzysztof Baran in Hayes after CCTV and forensic evidence proved his guilt in the Isleworth Crown Court trial. Choudry, who initially claimed self-defence, was sentenced to life in prison with a minimum of 17 years.

The police were called to Nine Acres Close in Hayes on August 12 last year, where they found Krzysztof dead in his room with signs of a struggle and a stab wound. Choudry, who had called for an ambulance, was found with blood on him and was later arrested for the murder.

Despite Choudry’s claims that he had only gone to Krzysztof’s room for a cigarette and didn’t know what happened to him, CCTV footage showed a different story. Choudry was seen assaulting Krzysztof, refusing to leave his room, and eventually leaving with a knife in his hand.

The murder weapon was never recovered, and Choudry disposed of evidence throughout the night before finally calling for help. Krzysztof’s former partner expressed the immense sadness felt by their daughter, who struggles to understand why her father was killed.

Detective Sergeant Sheppard extended his sympathies to Krzysztof’s family and hoped that the guilty verdict would bring them some comfort. The trial revealed the brutality of the murder and the impact it had on Krzysztof’s loved ones, highlighting the importance of justice in such cases.
