A couple in Washington state is facing a heart-wrenching situation after their beloved cat, Feefee, went missing following an interaction with an Amazon delivery driver. The driver was caught on CCTV petting the cat in the couple’s driveway before the feline mysteriously disappeared.
Ray Ishak, one of the cat owners, recounted the moment he saw the driver playing with Feefee on the surveillance footage. He mentioned that after the driver left, there was a short lapse in the video, and when the camera resumed, the cat was nowhere to be seen. Ishak immediately contacted Amazon, who allegedly informed him that the driver had the cat and had reached out to the police to return it.
Despite filing a report with the sheriff’s office, Ishak expressed his frustration at the lack of progress in locating Feefee. He even tried to get information on the driver’s whereabouts from Amazon, but the company refused to disclose that information and advised him to file a theft report instead.
The disappearance of Feefee has not only caused distress to Ishak but also to his family members, especially his grandchildren. He shared the emotional toll of having to lie to his grandkids about the cat’s safety and then seeing them cry when they found out the truth.
In a plea to the driver, Ishak expressed his desire for the cat to be returned, emphasizing that while the driver’s intentions might have been kind, the most important thing is to bring Feefee back home. This incident is not the first involving an Amazon delivery driver and a missing pet, as a similar situation occurred with a customer’s dog in Atlanta.
The family is still hopeful for Feefee’s safe return and continues to seek answers and assistance in locating their beloved cat. The emotional impact of this situation serves as a reminder of the deep bond between pets and their owners, and the importance of empathy and responsibility in all interactions, even those as seemingly simple as a delivery driver petting a cat.
