Today, a total of 39 Transport for London bus routes are set to change in the city.

Transport for London (TfL) buses are making these changes to align with the Mayor’s Transport Strategy, which aims for 80 per cent of journeys to be made by foot, bike, or public transport by 2041. Currently, there are around 9,300 buses operating across 675 different routes in London.

The latest timetable changes are intended to help meet demand, provide value for money, and allow TfL to invest in outer London areas.

Here are some of the key timetable changes that will come into effect from today:

– Route 13 will have buses running every 10 minutes on weekdays, 11 minutes in the evenings and on Sundays, with a night service every 30 minutes.
– Route 18 will see revised times to reflect current traffic conditions.
– Route 23 will have buses running every 12-13 minutes during the daytime and evenings, with a night service every 30 minutes.
– Route 25 will have buses running every 8-9 minutes on weekdays, and 10-11 minutes in the evenings and on Sundays.
– Route 27 will see buses running every 12 minutes on weekdays.
– Route 43 will have buses running every 9 minutes on weekdays, 11 minutes on Sundays, and 13 minutes in the evenings, with a night service every 30 minutes.
– Route 49 will see buses running every 11 minutes on weekdays, and 13 minutes in the evenings and on Sundays.
– Route 66 will have an increased frequency with buses running every 10 minutes on Saturdays, and every 15 minutes on Sundays, with early morning buses every 20 minutes on Saturdays.
– Route 70 will see buses running every 11 minutes on weekdays.
– Route 72 will have buses running every 12 minutes on weekdays, and 13 minutes in the evenings and on Sundays.

These are just a few examples of the changes that will be implemented on various bus routes across London. It is important for commuters to be aware of these changes and plan their journeys accordingly to avoid any disruptions. The aim of these changes is to improve the efficiency and reliability of bus services in the city.
