Apple has recently announced a price cut on its iPhone models in India following a reduction in basic custom duty during the Union Budget 2024. The duty was decreased from 20% to 15%, prompting Apple to adjust its prices accordingly. This move has led to a decrease in the prices of the iPhone Pro models by up to ₹6,000, with the starting price now at just ₹300.

For instance, the Apple iPhone 15 Pro with 128 GB storage now costs ₹1,29,800, down from ₹1,34,900. Similarly, the 256 GB and 512 GB variants are now priced at ₹1,39,800 and ₹1,59,700 respectively, as opposed to their previous prices of ₹1,44,900 and ₹1,64,900.

The 1 TB version of the iPhone 15 Pro is now available for ₹1,79,400, reduced from ₹1,84,900. Additionally, the iPhone 15 Pro Max has also seen a price reduction, with the 256 GB variant now selling for ₹1,54,00 from ₹1,59,900. The 512 GB and 1 TB models are now priced at ₹1,73,900 and ₹1,93,500, down from ₹1,79,900 and ₹1,99,900 before the duty cut.

Furthermore, the prices of the Apple iPhone 15 Plus have been lowered from ₹89,900 to ₹89,600 for the 128 GB variant, ₹99,900 to ₹99,600 for the 256 GB variant, and ₹1,19,900 to ₹1,19,600 for the 512 GB variant, representing a mere ₹300 price cut.

Similarly, the base variant of the iPhone 15 now costs ₹79,600 for the 128 GB model, ₹89,600 for the 256 GB model, and ₹1,09,600 for the 512 GB model, down from their previous prices of ₹79,900, ₹89,900, and ₹1,09,900 respectively. Apple has also extended the ₹300 price cut to the basic models of the iPhone 14.

This price adjustment by Apple is expected to make the latest iPhone models more accessible to consumers in India, potentially boosting sales and market share for the tech giant. With the reduction in prices, Apple aims to cater to a wider range of customers and increase its presence in the competitive smartphone market in the country. As a result, Indian consumers can now enjoy the latest iPhone models at more affordable price points, making them a more attractive option for those looking to upgrade their smartphones.
