Detectives in Hayes are urgently asking for the victims of recent assaults to come forward and seek justice. A man has been taken into custody in connection with the attacks, but investigators are eager to locate and offer support to those who have been targeted.

Detective Constable Katherine Ellis-Cramp highlighted the severity of the assaults, describing them as sudden, violent, and directed towards women walking alone in the evening. While there have been four reported incidents witnessed by members of the public, the victims themselves have not yet contacted the authorities and may require assistance.

The reported incidents include a woman being slapped by a man attempting to steal her bag on Delamere Road on Sunday, August 11, at approximately 9pm. Another witness reported a woman being pushed over and the suspect trying to approach her child on Delamere Road between 10 and 11pm on Monday, August 12. Additionally, footage was recovered of a woman being pushed over on Delamere Road on Tuesday, August 13, around 8.30pm. Lastly, an elderly woman was reportedly pushed over at the Uxbridge Road/Delamere Road junction on Saturday, August 17, at 8.30pm.

Det Con Ellis-Cramp emphasised the emotional and physical impact of being a victim of assault and urged anyone affected by these incidents or any similar assaults in the Delamere Road area to come forward. She assured that the police are ready to provide support and ensure the well-being of the victims.

The 19-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of assault has been released on bail while further investigations are being carried out. Individuals with information relevant to the case are encouraged to contact the police at 101 or through X @MetCC quoting CAD 7027/17AUG. Alternatively, the crime can be reported online for those who prefer to do so.

It is crucial for the victims of these assaults to speak up and seek help in order to bring the perpetrator to justice and prevent further incidents from occurring in the future.
