A courageous five-year-old boy became a hero when he saved his mum’s life by calling emergency services after she collapsed at home. Ruby Natalie, a 30-year-old influencer from London, started feeling unwell at 4 pm on August 8 and decided to rest in her bedroom. After a couple of hours, her son JJ asked for a drink, prompting her to get out of bed, only to collapse and lose consciousness.

JJ immediately sprang into action, grabbing his mum’s phone and dialling 999. He stayed on the line with the operators, following their instructions to put his mum in the recovery position and updating them on her condition. When the paramedics arrived, JJ led them to his mum’s bedroom after unlocking the door.

Ruby expressed her gratitude towards JJ, calling him a hero for his quick thinking and bravery. She mentioned that JJ had been aware of some emergency procedures, but she was surprised and proud of how well he handled the situation at his young age.

Ruby’s fiancĂ©, Ansis, who was fixing his car in the car park at the time, only found out about the incident when the ambulance arrived. Ruby was rushed to the hospital, where doctors discovered internal bleeding caused by an issue with her fallopian tubes. She underwent emergency surgery and is currently recovering in the hospital.

Despite being in and out of the hospital for monitoring, Ruby is grateful for her sons’ support. JJ and his older brother Leo have visited her in the hospital, but they are now staying with their grandmother until Ruby is well enough to come back home.

The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of teaching children basic emergency procedures, as demonstrated by JJ’s heroic actions. Ruby continues to praise her son for his bravery and quick response, emphasising the critical role he played in saving her life. The family is looking forward to being reunited once Ruby makes a full recovery.
