Broadwick Street in Soho is a vibrant area that has seen some exciting changes in recent years. The addition of Miznon in 2022 has brought a new culinary experience to this already bustling neighbourhood. This Israeli-born eatery has expanded to various cities around the world, each time capturing the essence of the local culture through their food.

When I visited Miznon, I was greeted with Mediterranean vibes that instantly transported me to a different place. The venue offers a mix of counter and table seating, creating a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. The background music added to the overall ambience, making it a perfect spot for a leisurely meal.

One of the highlights of my visit was the drinks menu, which featured a variety of options including beers, wines, and cocktails. I opted for the Pomegranate and Lychee cocktail, a refreshing blend of sweet lychees and sharp pomegranate. My guest tried the Grapefruit Timur, a tangy concoction that was both refreshing and flavourful.

Moving on to the food, we started with the ‘world’s best hummus’, a generous portion of creamy chickpeas topped with a green chilli sauce and whole chickpeas. The hummus was served with soft pita bread, which was perfect for dipping. We also tried the Batata, a sweet potato dish that had a delightful smoky flavour.

For mains, we enjoyed the minute steak pita with pickled onions and tomatoes, as well as the lamb pita with grilled tomatoes and red onion pickle. The lamb pita was a standout, with its smoky and juicy flavours. I paired this with a Barkan Red wine, which complemented the dishes perfectly.

To end the meal, we shared a dessert of Banana in a pita with chocolate sauce. The baked banana and chocolate combination was a sweet finish to our meal, although we were too full to finish all the pitas.

Overall, our experience at Miznon Soho was delightful. The friendly and relaxed service, combined with the delicious food and drinks, made for a memorable dining experience. If you find yourself in Soho, be sure to visit Miznon at 8 Broadwick Street for a taste of their unique culinary offerings.
