The Olympic Games have come to a close, and Team GB is on their way back to the United Kingdom. This year, they have surpassed their medal count from three years ago in Tokyo. Let’s take a closer look at how their performance compares between the two events.
In Paris 2024, Team GB secured a total of 65 medals, one more than the 64 they won in Tokyo. However, when it comes to gold medals, they fell short with only 14, which is eight less than what they achieved in Tokyo.

Despite some medals being of a lower rank compared to Tokyo, Team GB also had better performances in certain events in Paris, including Athletics, Cycling, Gymnastics, Rowing, Shooting, and Triathlon.
On the other hand, there were events in which Team GB did not perform as well in Paris as they did in Tokyo, such as Athletics, Boxing, Cycling, Diving, Equestrian, Swimming, Triathlon, and Weightlifting.
