London’s bus routes are set to undergo changes during the first weekend of August, in line with TfL’s goal to have 80% of journeys done by foot, bike, or public transport by 2041. Currently, there are approximately 9,300 buses operating on 675 routes throughout the city.
These timetable adjustments are intended to meet demand, provide value for money, and enable TfL to invest in outer London. Starting from Saturday, August 3, several changes will be implemented:
– Route 117 will no longer stop at bus stop HE in the West Middlesex Hospital grounds.
– Route 19 will have a revised timetable on all days to better reflect current traffic conditions.
– Route 49 will see increased frequency during the PM peak, with buses running every 10-11 minutes.
– Route 118 will return to running every 12 minutes during the day on weekdays and Saturdays, and every 20 minutes in the evenings and all day on Sundays.
– Route 200 will resume running every 10 minutes during the day on weekdays and Saturdays, and every 12 minutes in the evenings and on Sundays.
– Route 297 will have buses running every 12 minutes during the day on weekdays and Saturdays, and every 14 minutes in the evenings and on Sundays. The night service will continue to run every 30 minutes every night.
– Route E9 will have increased frequency, with buses running every 13 minutes during the day on weekdays and Saturdays, and every 21 minutes in the evenings and on Sundays.
– Route N19 will have a new timetable on all nights to better reflect current traffic conditions.
These changes aim to improve efficiency and accessibility for passengers across London’s bus network. Make sure to check the updated timetables to plan your journey accordingly.
