Merchant Land Plans Public Consultation for Manor Lodge Site Redevelopment
In a bid to transform the under-utilized Manor Lodge site in Northwood, developer Merchant Land is set to reveal revised plans for the area. The initiative aims to bring six new family homes, complete with private gardens and off-street parking, to the community.
Public Engagement Opportunity
Residents and stakeholders are encouraged to participate in a public consultation event scheduled to take place at St John’s United Reformed Church on Hallowell Road. The event, slated for next Monday from 3.30 to 6.30 pm, will serve as a platform for individuals to voice their opinions and provide feedback on the proposed development.
Developer’s Vision
Merchant Land’s Katherine McCullough expressed enthusiasm about the project, highlighting the significance of introducing much-needed family residences to the location. McCullough emphasised the team’s dedication to crafting aesthetically pleasing properties that harmoniously integrate with the existing environment. She further assured attendees that both herself and experts from Seabrook Architects will be present to outline the vision for the development and address any queries or concerns from the public.
Engaging with the Community
The upcoming drop-in session promises a casual and interactive setting, allowing residents to peruse the plans at their leisure and engage in meaningful conversations with project representatives. By fostering open dialogue and soliciting input from the community, Merchant Land seeks to ensure that the development aligns with the needs and preferences of local residents.
As a resident of Northwood myself, I understand the importance of preserving the area’s charm while catering to the evolving housing needs of the community. Merchant Land’s commitment to engaging with residents and incorporating their feedback is commendable, reflecting a collaborative approach to urban development. I look forward to attending the public consultation and contributing to the dialogue surrounding the Manor Lodge site’s redevelopment.
By actively participating in such initiatives, we can collectively shape the future of our neighbourhood and create a vibrant, inclusive community that meets the diverse requirements of its residents. Let’s seize this opportunity to have our say and play a proactive role in shaping the evolution of Northwood.
