Hillingdon Council is reaching out to residents, businesses, and community groups for their input on the review of the Strategic Climate Action Plan. This plan outlines the council’s proposed actions from 2025 to 2028 with the goal of achieving net-zero carbon operations by 2030. In addition to reducing carbon emissions, the council aims to enhance biodiversity, improve waste management, and mitigate the risk of flooding in the borough.

The public consultation period will run from today until January 12, giving stakeholders the opportunity to voice their opinions and suggestions. One key aspect of the plan is the focus on collaborating with schools to implement initiatives that will help reduce their carbon footprint. Cllr Eddie Lavery, Cabinet Member for Community and Environment, emphasised the importance of working together with residents and partners to continue making progress in reducing carbon emissions.
